Hello, Michael!

Look up He'Brew beer on the Google, or check out the website here at http://www.shmaltz.com/ .

I have to admit to getting The Chosen Beer on a lark because I saw it at Wild Oats and found it to be amusing, but later, when I drank some and cooked with it--it was pretty darned good.

I just couldn't resist the irony of putting The Chosen Beer in a pot with a ham hock and bacon grease to make pinto beans. It was too much impropriety to be missed.

Glad you liked my list 2.0 as much as the one I came up with for you!

Hey I just came to this post from your 10 favorites, second edition. Oh boy do I want some of these beans and cornbread, not to mention your fried chicken and hot and sour soup and, well, everything else edible that you describe. But I must ask: "kosher beer brewed by very nice Jewish boys in New York"? Where can I get some of that? (btw, I think all beer is technically kosher until you put it in a pot that has pork in it.)
