		<description><![CDATA[No, Peggy--Poori is different. It is an unleavened bread--basically like chapati or roti, that is fried. When you fry it, the tapping action causes steam to rise in the bread, blowing it up into a spherical balloon shape. 

Bhatura, as you can see is a yeast-raised bread--the dough is more like naan, which is baked in a hot clay oven called a tandoor. When you fry the dough, it, too will puff up, but not as dramatically as pooris will.

I should do a post on poori, but I haven&#039;t made it in a while. I shall have to rectify that before the baby is born!]]></description>
