Weekend Kat Blogging: Wee Goblins
Well, I was going to write another culinary post this week, but never got around to it; probably the fact that I have been cooking a ton of Indian food in preparation for Morganna’s 17th birthday party on Sunday may have something to do with it. By the time I have a moment to sit down and am not nursing Kat, I am usually asleep.
So look for an extra post or so next week to make up for the lack of posts this week.
In the meantime, I thought I would share a couple of pictures of my girls in their true forms.
You see, most of the time, they might play at being normal children, but the truth is, they are goblins.
And I have the photographic evidence to prove it.
Above, please note that while Kat has a particularly sweet expression on her face, thus belying her goblin heritage, she still has the gleam of mischief in her eyes which tells the truth.
And besides, what normal baby has a hat like that? (Only babies in Garth Williams illustrations, I suspect.)
And as for this picture of Morganna–well, look at it.
Doesn’t she look just like she stepped out of a Brian Froud painting?
But then, what can I expect out of my girls, when they have a woodsprite for a mother?![]()
Now that I have shown the true forms of myself and my girls, I can return to making curries.
Have a great weekend!

That is a fantastic photo of Kat with the red hat on! It shows her features so well. Just adorable.

Holy shit, she looks just as devilish as I have seen Zak on some occasions. And YOU look fabulous in that picture. I forgot that Morganna was a blondie as a baby- but then again sometimes I forget that I was a blonde once too! Hugs and smooches to all.

Mother and children look simply adorable. Kat does have a gleam in her eye but I think she takes after her mother. I love these photos and really enjoy your blog, both the food and the family.

Note whose picture is NOT there. Ha!
Besides, I’m a satyr, anyway. Not some stinky goblin.

That is the smiley-est baby I have ever seen. What an adorable little troublemaker-to-be!

Beautiful kids and mom!

Kat is adorable! That twinkle in her eyes tell me that she will grow up to such a handful to her parents! IF she’s not already! Talk about Mona Lisa-esque mischievous smile!
Wait, let me get this right….. so a goblin is an offspring of a satyr and a woodsprite? I never knew that!
It just goes to show that you learn something new everyday when you read a food blog, don’t you?

I think that is the BEST pic of Kat I’ve seen, (as she is usually in her “No Pictures…Bloody Paparatzi!” mode.)
Looks absolutely awesome!

Thanks, all!
Amy–that photo was cropped to take your picture out of it, because I didn’t know if you would like to appear in my blog. If you want, I can put you back in (and would love to, but only if you don’t mind!)
Theresa–I can’t wait to see you–so you can meet the wee goblin herself.
Nancy–she takes after both parents, really–more Zak than I, so far.
Win–Fae don’t have genes, so their offspring often can look quite different than the parents.
Dan–I love that picture, too, but wait until you see one of the ones I am posting this Sunday for Weekend Kat Blogging. It is pretty awesome!
