Weekend Kat Blogging: To Boldly Go…

…too far.

This photograph gets filed under, “Oh, my God, I cannot believe what pathetic geeks my parents are.”

Later, when Kat is in her early teens, she is going to desperately try and hide every copy of this photograph in existence. I just know it.

Oh, well.

In our defense, though, in truth, this silliness is pretty indefensible, we didn’t buy the Star Trek uniform. We bought the jumpsuit at Old Navy on sale for five bucks or something. When I picked it up, I squinted at it and said, “You know, it kind of looks like a Star Trek uniform.”

Zak laughed, and said, “And I have that ancient insignia from when I was in college.”

So, well, you see the result of two hopeless geeks mating.

At least Zak didn’t photoshop some Vulcan ears into the photo.

  1. Well, your husband could have did some more editing so it looked like the cover of the DVD ‘Trekkies’.

CafePress.com has a Star Trek T-Shirt of an infant Mr Spock which may be what she could be thinking at this point though…. Just search for ‘Star Trek’

    Poor kid! :)

  2. Holy Shit, that is great. She is going to rebel by voting Republican and becoming a born again Christian

  3. I love it. She just looks so utterly clueless.

Besides, most pre-teens focus on getting rid of the inevitable naked pictures. :-)

  5. She is adorable! And think of it this way - it’s better than the naked baby on the bear rug. In my case, it was the naked baby sitting on a croched afgan.
    Trek is much much cooler.
