Weekend Kat Blogging: Doesn’t She Look Proud?
And well she should look proud.
For you see–Kat has finally mastered sitting upright on her own.
And while it is a lot of work for her, there are many rewards. It makes it easier for her to eat all of the tasty new flavors she has been experiencing: guacamole, curry, carrot, potato and onion soup, and roasted apples.
It also makes it easier for her to pet the kitties, who have all been coming to visit her very regularly.
Spring has sprung–the redbud trees and daffodils are all in bloom, and the pansies are glorious.
Of course, as soon as we got used to wearing short sleeves and having bare toes, the temperatures plummeted and it began to snow.
But, that is okay, because Kat got to wear the delicious hat that her Aunt Laura gave her one more time.
And even unseasonal snow is made palatable when one has the properly fashionable goblin hat.

Goodness!! She looks so adorable in that outfit!
And you know.. Every time I read your blog, I can’t help but imagine how it’s like to be living with you, or have a family member like you.
To wake up with to a delicious aroma of muffins.. Or help out in the kitchen as you prepare curry..
You’re a role-model to me!
I would love to be that kind of mother someday.

I think if I were hanging out in Kat-land nothing would get done. She is a complete little entertainment package in her elf-like ways:)

She is utterly delightful; thank you for sharing so much with us. And the hat - well, what can I say? Karl Lagerfield would be sooooo envious!

Oh, thank you, Nirah, for your sweet words. I have to admit that I am even slower in the morning than before I got pregnant with Kat, so there isn’t too much of the waking up to the smell of muffins. However, there are lots of curries in our house, and plenty of chances for both girls to help. (Kat helps mostly by staying in her swing and looking cute and smelling all of the ingredients as they are cut up, ground and cooked.
Maureen–it is kind of hard to get stuff done, it is true. I catch myself just watching Kat sometimes when I am the middle of doing something. Which is fine. Dishes will eventually get done, dinner will cook, and everyone will eat at some point in the evening. Kat will only be a baby once, however.
Thank you, Monika!
Nancy–she just needs a fan to really complete the Lagerfield look.
Thank you, Alexis!
