You can also sub the peanut butter in this recipe for more of the sesame paste. That is the more traditional way to make it anyway.

Hi Barbara,

I’m a newcomer to your site. While this recipe sounds great (as do most of them I’ve seen so far) I am allergic to peanut butter. I’d like to try the Hunan Spicy Noodles recipe you mentioned but can’t seem to find it. Is it still on the site?

Yum! I made this last night (despite the fact the weather has turned cold) and they were delicious! Added purple beans because they were in the house, but otherwise followed exactly. My boyfriend thought the sauce must have been storebought because of how complex it was – silly boy.

Thanks so much for the recipe! Cold peanut sesame noodles are/is absolute comfort food for me. Sometimes I top a big bowl of these noodles with a little sriracha and some blanched bean sprouts. I love the watery crunchiness of bean sprouts with these noodles!
