Finally got around to making this and it was wonderful. I'm going to knock down the amount of shitakes I use next time since it overpowered the other mushrooms in the dish (but just a little bit).

Oh, and I got a friend hooked on your "Kat's Chicken Curry," so I'm doing my part in spreading the love.

I have been eying your curries for a while now and finally bought all the spices to try this one out. However, I have some really good ground cinnamon I need to use and was wondering how much of it to use in place of the half inch piece you called for in the recipe?

Pei--when it comes to mushrooms, you should always check a local expert or book guide. I have no idea myself if puffballs grow in Malaysia, so I am a bad person to ask. There has to be someone local you can ask--who will know more definitively than I would.

Because, with wild mushrooms, unless you are certain they are safe to eat, you are taking a great risk--because some of the poisonous ones smell and taste fine.

Be careful, and be safe rather than sorry.

Good luck!
