Weekend Kat and Kitty Blogging: Cuteness Overload
There is no other possible title for this post.
If really cute pictures of babies and kittens make you dyspeptic, click away now. I mean it. These are some disgustingly cute pictures of Kat and her friends.
First, are a couple of pictures Morganna (whom Kat calls “Nonna”) took of Kat while the two of them were romping around the living room. That smile is an example of the way she looks at her big sister–full of love and adoration. Kat’s face just lights up when Morganna comes into the room.
In the midst of the romping, Morganna dropped her cosplay bunny ears hat on Kat’s head. It is much too big, of course, but that didn’t stop Kat from loving on the ears and looking, well, sickeningly adorable for the camera. And laughing uproariously–she apparently laughed a great deal during this photo session–I was at work when it happened, making dinner specials.
Then, on Friday, Kat got a visit from her friend, Zoe. Zoe is the daughter of our good friends, Kendra and Warren, who live north of Columbus in a geodesic dome that they built by hand because they are just that cool.
Zoe and Kat first met right after Zoe was born–Kat was about six months old at the time, and she wanted to touch Zoe something fierce. Now that they are bigger, Kat has started hugging Zoe, and most of the time Zoe is okay with it, and smiles, but sometimes, she starts to feel like her personal space has been invaded.
However, when Zoe is safely ensconced on her Daddy’s lap, she can more readily enjoy Kat’s affection, as you can see.
Warren and Zoe had been sitting on the couch together and Kat cruised over, then pulled herself up to stand at Warren’s knee and demanded in baby babble, to be picked up. So, he did. I just happened to come into the room in time to snap the pictures.
After Warren and Kendra left to go to a business meeting, they left Zoe with us, in the care of Zak. I was cooking dinner for the meeting, so I was in the kitchen, but I came into the living room in time to see the girls both playing Zak’s guitar. Kat was very excited to teach Zoe all about how cool guitars are, and they took turns strumming the strings and drumming on the body of the guitar, turning knobs and pushing on the tremolo bar.
Finally, here is a picture of Cordelia, at the end of a busy day of playing with Kat. I took this while Kat was asleep on my lap, and Cordelia was curled up on the couch next to us. Hopefully, I will soon be able to get some photographs of Kat playing with the feather wand with Cordelia and the other kitties. Last night, she got Schmoo, Tatter, Cordelia and Dandelion all playing with the feather wand at the same time. It was adorable, but there was no camera handy, and as I had just gotten off a long and busy dinner shift, I was too tired to go looking for one.
That is all for the adventures of Kat and friends for this week. Stay tuned for more adventures next week, and in the meantime, I will write a bit more about food, restaurant work, recipes and the like. Just to keep everyone satisfied until it is time to write about Kat and cats again.

I think in the first picture she’s planning on using her cuteness and her minions to take over the world!

Aawwww…! How adorable are the pix! Cordelia looks just like my cat Ginger. And how cute that little Kat tries to play with the kitties! I have a 15 month old baby girl who acts like Ginger is her toy and tries to lie on Ginger every little chance she gets! And Ginger puts up with her torturous love like she’s the older sis who has to deal with it!
Thanks for shring your pix!

Ah HA - now we see your evil plan. Groom Kat to take over the world by cuteness. She is utterly adorable and your love for her just shines from the page.
