For some reason, salmonella is hardly mentioned as a danger where I come from (Singapore). And I’ve actually tried chicken sashimi – raw chicken sliced very thinly – when in Japan. Although, it was only a very little bit, and the Japanese don’t eat it often either.

Happy Thanksgiving! Great post and I’ve printed out the how to cook a turkey instructions:) We don’t celebrate thanksgiving in my neck of the woods, but sometimes we do cook turkey for Xmas (although we generally opt for a selection of different meats), but if my mum decides to go turkey this year, this will be really, really useful. Thank you from me and my mum (who doesn’t “do” the internet, but loves it when I print out stuff!).
