If I didn't own all the books (except Madhur jaffrey's autobiography, which I read from the library) I would bid on it. I remember distinctly what started me on cooking Indian cuisine - long before I had traveled there and when I owned only one very basic Indian cookbook - It was visiting a friend in the UK and seeing her cook a curry using a spice box. I thought - "I have to have one of those" - and so I did. I came home, bought a lovely spice tin just like the one you show, and then the spices, and then a few Indian cookbooks...and it just went from there. I use my spice box daily, and each and every time it comes out of the cabinet, it makes me happy. Lovely prize!
