We decided not to gift our child this year (ours is a bit older than yours). She gets “new” toys all the time and she had plenty of fun working on the wrapping of the grown-ups’ gifts.

And, of course, playing with the boxes and discarded paper.

Your pics are adorable! I had to laugh at your observation about that bike being small–my mother in law bought it for my eldest on her 2 yr birthday and it was way too small. I wouldn’t say it went to waste, but it was difficult for her to ride. And then our youngest–who is about Kat’s age and 16 mos younger than her sister–started riding it and it has been the best thing ever. She was riding it before she was walking! You guys will have fun with it.

You probably already know this, but in case not– you’re authorized to call the vehicle a velocipede. There are few things cuter than a very small person referring to her velocipede.
