I have made/eaten this a bazillion times, though not in the last 11 years (since leaving the U.S.) What a great recipe - brings the whole thing into the 21st century! I am going to have to try it again...
Love the kitty-Kat photos!

I often put curry powder in mine... and swap out some of the parmesan for a mixed handful of shredded cheddar/mozzarella/whatever... then again, I've never used an actual recipe for this.

I'm guilty as charged with the mayo thing, though. But I'm working on getting over my mayonnaise dependency, I promise!

Oops! I meant to add that this is amazing with real smoked, pulled turkey breast (from an actual whole smoked turkey). I meant to add that before my flamboyant "All Hail Turkey Artichoke Dip!"

Bet you all were wondering why that didn't make any sense ;).

Seriously, though, try this will smoked, pulled turkey. You'll want to stick your whole face in it!

Oh.My.God! I absolutely love this stuff and have to stay far away from it, because I will eat the entire thing. I also use frozen artichoke hearts, and frequently add fresh hot chilies to it. I have also made it with fresh goat cheese, sour cream, grated gouda, and all manner of stuff. It's very versatile.

It also makes the most amazing addition to any turkey sandwich!

Valeree--that is a great idea. I will have to try that out!

Harry--I don't have a problem simmering full fat yogurt in Indian food. I don't see why it couldn't sub for mayo.

Karyn--please try it with goat cheese and report back! I want to know how it would taste! And--to keep it a bit more fluid--goat cheese is stiffer than mayo after all--you could add a teaspoon or so of cream or whole milk.

Try it and let me know how it works out--please!
