I decided to give in and make this even without the title ingredient! I used Chinese BBQ sauce (not char sui sauce) instead of sha cha sauce and it worked a treat! Served on Barbara's "two sides brown" noodle pancake to great acclaim - thanks for the excellent recipe!

I'm dying to make this and set out to get everything I needed; just one problem, no sign of sha cha sauce here in Melbourne, even in the big Asian groceries which stock a huge range of Lee Kum Kee sauces! Any suggestions for a substitute please?
