I’m getting ready to make your Aphrodite Cakes. I know I’m going to be making them at least twice. I was thinking though…How do you think they would be with Lavender water instead of Rosewater, tinted with a bit of purple food coloring. Just wondering as I came across Lavender water at the Middle Eastern market a couple of weeks ago.

The weather here in Adelaide right now is quite the opposite of what you’re experiencing. We’re in the middle of a record breaking heat-wave. The north wind has brought desert-like temperatures and it’s scorching.

What was supposed to be 3 – 5 inches of snow is now 14 – 18 inches. The wind is blowing VERY hard and it looks like something out of a documentary about nuclear winter out there.

I’m doing nothing but baking cookies, pies and bread all weekend.
