I came upon your site this AM when doing a search on Purple Asparagus plants. No asparagus plants here-but I am really enjoying reading your blogg.

Ironically I was born on my grandparents farm in West Union (AdamsCounty) Ohio. However, my parents left when I was 4 and resettled in the San Francisco Bay Area. My mom who is 84 still calls herself a "farmer's daughter".

I visited them only a couple of times growing up, but those Ohio-farm roots are still in my viens.

I am delighted to see you enjoying cuisines of the world! I raise many of our own veggies and herbs in our garden as well as a plot at a local alottment and grow many ethnic veggies and herbs. I am passionate about cooking and learning of cultures via their cuisine.

I started cooking dinner for my parents when I was 11 and haven't stopped exploring various cuisines. I began traveling outside the US when I was 18 and thus far have been to 72 countries. We are planning a trip this year taking our son and his wife and their two munchkins to Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia. Traveling is a fabulous education!

Really glad I came upon your site.
