By the way, Maureen, can you let us know which web page you are looking at and finding those shipping prices? We haven't done or offered any shipping, so you must have been on somebody's else webpage. Here is our website, you can cut and paste it right into your browser, just in case:

Hi Maureen-
I just wanted to clarify a few things. First, we sell our heirloom black turtle beans in 2 1/2 lb bags, not 2 lb bags.

As yet, we don't ship, but we are looking into that. I can't imagine charging any more than Gordo to ship out our beans.
Thanks for bringing this up.

Just wanted to give you feedback on ordering beans, spelt and cornmeal. Going through the web site for Shagbark - the cost of 2 lb of turtle beans alone (7.50) - costs 17.55 in shipping for a total of $25.05. That does not make sense. There seems to be two shipping fees - 4.69 for the beans and then added to that is a base shipping fee of 12.86.

Does the farm have a direct mail service. I usually get my turtle beans from Gordo (for me that is more local) but wanted to try your recommended beans and cornmeal. From Gordo it is 8.00 shipping regardless of how much is ordered. Next time you head for the Farmer's Market it would be wonderful if you would ask them. Thanks
