I just picked loads of blackberries from our garden and was thinking of googling blackberry jam when I thought: ‘hold on a sec, I’ll see if Barbara has any recipes.’ I found this post, not because I was looking for jam, but because I found it in a catagory about Appalachian Hillbilly food, and that just sounded amazing! It’s a sign, I must make this!

Love Pomona. But last time I made Concord grape jam with it, I found that a year later, tiny crystallized salts had formed in the jam. Didn’t hurt us or anything, but it was odd.
